Join us in mask making with Kyra Royo Fay and delving into relationship with our ancestors and ‘invasive’ plants.
Date: April 30th
Time: 7-9 pm
Pre-registration only
The evening is an invitation to arrive in our bodies and in the presence of those who come before and after us. From this shared space, we will move into creation, working with ‘invasive’ plants from these territories to shape masks. Throughout the process, we will share moments of pause and reflection, creating space to listen inside-out and to the threads that connect us across time.
Taking this opportunity to bridge somatics and art, Kyra will be using Nova as a space to unmask ancestral connections between her lineage and ‘invasives’ on stolen land.
Filipino appetizers will be provided.
Nova will be providing light snacks and beverages.
