Drum Making Workshop & Talk
Join us for either a drum making workshop, a talk with Abuela Viola, or both! We are so grateful to host Abela Viola, who will be visiting with us from Mexico for a very special evening.
Participants are invited to learn how to make a mesoamerican drum, followed by a talk with Abuela Viola. If you cannot attend the drum making workshop, no problem! Register for just the art talk portion.

Zellij Moroccan Tile Making Workshop
As part of the Reclaiming Space, Reframing Truth project, we invite an Amazigh artist- Hina to facilitate an artmaking workshop on Zellij Moroccan Tile Making, which will include an introduction on the Amazigh approach to tile making, while also blending in lessons from Coast Salish approaches to patterns and artwork. This workshop honours Hina’s collaborations in the Reclaiming Space Reframing Truth exhibition by exchanging cultural practices and ways of being in order for us to better understand our own positionality on these lands.
