Creative Community Nights
First Monday of each month | By donation | Pre-registration required

Are you looking for a space to feel inspired, be in community, and create at your own pace? Whether you’re a painter, doodler, beader, zine maker, poet, or someone who just wants to be around creativity and laughter—Creative Community Nights are for you.
Hosted at Nova Arts Hub, these evenings are focused on recognizing how connection can act as the ultimate muse. Let us gather, free of any agenda or structure, and simply exist amongst each other! It’s a come-as-you-are, bring-what-you-have, create-what-you-feel type of gathering.
You do NOT need to consider yourself an artist to attend. If you’ve got a creative itch—or just want to share space with others who do—you’re already part of this circle.
What to bring:
Any art and supplies that you are working on (any medium)! Basic art supplies are available if needed. Some snacks will be provided, but you can bring some of your own as well!
What do we mean by ‘by donation’?
Let’s be honest, Nova Arts Hub is not a big money maker. To make the space accessible, events are often priced at a sliding scale to pay for out of pocket costs. Creative Community Nights are meant to focus on bringing folks together at Nova, with the most affordable costs we can offer (starting at $5). If you can only pay $5, great! If you can pay more, that allows us to keep these prices affordable for others, great!
What to expect:
-Tea
-Art prompts if you need a boost in your creativity
-Art offerings: take something, leave something
-Creative peer support
Accessibility Info:
Nova Arts Hub is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. We have three gender-neutral washrooms, a small room for regulation, etc. If you have specific access needs (lighting, scent-free space, seating, etc.), let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Full welcome booklet, including more accessibility info available once tickets are bought (or ask us to send it to you before)!
