The Nitty Gritty

Nova Art Hub is a cross-cultural hub dedicated to fostering community empowerment and artistic growth at the intersections of art, culture, and community resilience. We offer a nurturing environment where artists can develop their voices and contribute to community development, facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas and creativity. Grounded in Indigenous methodology and community-based participatory processes, we connect artists, cultural workers, and community organizers to build resilient and liberated communities. Through art as a focal point, we celebrate artistic and Indigenous ways of being, exploring innovative approaches to understanding strengths, challenges, and opportunities for a better future.

  • Collective Learning

Our first goal is to offer facilitated discussions with artists from various cultural backgrounds to curate spaces that enhance our understanding of community building, empowerment, and liberation through artistic expression.

  • Collective Knowledge

Building on the collective insights, we hope offer learning opportunities to deepen our shared knowledge, both within and beyond the Nova Art Space community. Through workshops and events, we aim to build skills and bridge knowledge gaps, fostering a culture of continuous growth and connection.

  • Collective Action

Next, we hope translate collective learning into action, inviting Nova Art Space community members to engage in various artistic opportunities and integrate their learning into their work. This may be through offering retail opportunities, exhibitions, residencies, etc.
